I don't think I've mentioned it here yet, but if you click my profile you'll find links to various free sample-sets I've created specifically for use with FL studio.
They're in varied states of completion because because some are test patches. Here's a brief list:
- Xpercussion: large collection(264 samples) of experimental percussion hits, sounds from broken cymbals to giant pipes to metal bowls to bamboo. For FPC.
- Mini Harpsichord: complete 4&1/2 octave harpsi. For FPC and Directwave.
- Dark Jazz drumkit: Played with brushes, many velocity levels and cymbal hits. For FPC.(this one doesn't sound great, but if you need a fairly shady sounding but realistic drumkit for whatever reason it does work quite well for that!)
- The Black Guitar: Distorted metal powerchords, velocity levels, chugs, release notes. For FPC. (this is a working demo patch, A more complete version will be available in the future)
- KC333 acoustic: Acoustic guitar, contains single notes of every fret on the guitar. For Fruity Slicer. (this is a working demo patch, it plays and sounds fine but is limited by length of notes and there are no different articulations and it's in mono. Current download size is 1.5MB, the full version should somewhere between 30-40MB)
- MegadriveXx Vol.1: Crunchy videogame soundbytes sampled direct from the game Streets OF Rage direct from my Sega Megadrive. Contains drumkhits/loops/sfx. For Fruity Sampler.
- MegadriveXx Vol.2: Similar to Vol.1 but taken from the game Virtua Fighter. Contains crunchy fight sfx and announcer voice-bytes. For Fruity Sampler.
All samples are compressed wav files using hi-bitrate Ogg Vorbis compression, just to make downloading and usability better. Sound quality wise they don't suffer in any way from compression.
Feel free to do what you want with the samples. If you're gonna share them with others or upload them to other forums or sites I'm ok with that, but please leave my name attached to them as the original creator, and if you try to pass them off as your own then... Well I guess you'd probably get away with it to be honest! But it's a pretty low thing to do. So please don't!
Laters.
